About Coinbase Global

Coinbase runs one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the US. It earns transaction fees when retail and institutional customers buy and sell crypto assets, and further income from custody, staking and a share of the interest earned on the reserves behind the USDC stablecoin issued by Circle. Coinbase also develops Base, a blockchain network. The company was founded in 2012 and describes itself as remote-first, without a headquarters.
