Real asset calculator: what remains after premium and costs

Auction series show prices, not results. Between the hammer price on purchase and the money in your account on sale sit buyer premium, seller commission, storage, insurance and the cost of grading – for collectibles frequently a third of the price increase combined.

This calculator turns that into a number. You enter every assumption yourself; the defaults are values that are common at collectible auctions, not a promise. The inflation line shows what remains after loss of purchasing power – over holding periods beyond ten years often a larger deduction than the fees.
