Dividend ETFs as a passive income source
Some ETFs pay out their dividends regularly instead of reinvesting them – useful if you want a passive income stream.
How much do you need?
Work it backwards with the dividend portfolio calculator: enter your target annual payout and a distribution yield, and it shows the portfolio size required (gross and net of tax).

Keep in mind
- A high yield is not free return – it comes out of the share price.
- In Germany, distributions use up your tax-free allowance first.
- For long-term building, accumulating is usually simpler.
